You know what makes fashion? The basics. Well, at least to me. Basics are the must have items in your wardrobe that you use to build your outfits. Black, white (as well as colored) t-shirts, vests, fitting jeans, a good pair of sneakers are just examples of the basics.
For this post, I put together a pair of ripped jeans, a white cropped tee and white ngomas. These jeans were initially old mom jeans that I cut up and transformed into ripped jeans. I personally prefer having baggy ripped jeans as compared to tight ones because I don’t want my thighs hanging and falling out of the ripped spaces.
Let’s talk about ngomas. How amazing are they? Well, at least for that one month that they survive then they start fading after a few washes and instantly look old. On the upside they’re super comfortable; they’re literally my go to. I can’t even begin to count how many pairs I have even after they fail me. Who else relates?
As for the top, I have so many of these in different colors that I use to pair with different pants and skirts for different looks. You can literally never go wrong with such and the amazing thing is that you can find them anywhere especially thrift stores for around 50 to 200 shillings, or even 20 shillings at Gikomba. Thank God for thrifting, right?!
This look could equally go well with heels (preferably pumps) especially for a night out, if you’re not a sneaker type of girl. Hope you enjoyed the post, please feel free to leave a comment. Have yourselves a great weekend.
