Hi Guys! Hope y’all are having a good week so far. I’m happy to be finally back to blogging and if there’s anything I enjoy apart from fashion is getting my face beat. I’m not an expert when it comes to make up but I’ve definitely been learning over time. This post will be a little longer than usual so please bear with me. I teamed up with a lovely make up artist called Lily from @getgorgeouske to show you guys how to achieve and wear three simple but different make up looks.
The first one is minimal and nude which is great for an everyday look, running errands or just to work/school. It’s pretty simple and easy to achieve so you won’t have to spend hours doing your make up in the morning.
All you need is a good foundation which offers medium or full coverage, it all depends on your preference. We used Mary Kay medium coverage, which I also personally use because I like my foundation light. For the eyes, we used black maybelline gel liner, and Maybelline Colossal mascara, for the lips, we used a simple nude lip called Sonya Coffee and finished the look off by highlighting my cheekbones and a little on my nose.
The second look we did is great for a date night situation or a fun day out or lunch with the girls. A red lip is usually my go to, I literally cannot live without red lipstick. Not only does it brighten your outfit, but also your face and teeth.
We used lashes by I Envy which are very good quality, this was the third time using them and they’re were still in good shape after the shoot; just make sure you clean out the glue well. For the eyebrows, we used Anastacia Beverly Hills in Chocolate color. I have slightly dark under eyes, so we used L.A Orange Color Corrector and L.A Pro Concealer to achieve evenness.
The third and last look was my personal favorite. This is a fierce smoky eye that I’ve been trying to achieve for the longest time but I always end up looking like a zombie or a cast member from a horror movie.
The trick is to find the perfect eye shadow palette to use(we used palettes from sephora and morphe 35w), add some glitter on it and most importantly, don’t forget to blend, blend, blend!
We went with a subtle pink lip for this look since the eyes were already so strong. This is perfect for a night out, an event or red carpet ceremony.
I hope y’all enjoyed and found this post insightful. I’ll be doing a giveaway where one lucky girl will get a free face beat and tips from GetGorgeousKe, details will be up on my social media pages soon. Have a good day.
Love and light,
